What a week it was in Salina KS for the IAC National Aerobatic Championship. We are proud to say IAC3 was well represented and managed to bring home some great results. Marty and Stan representing the chapter in Advanced. Both put up a good fight against some very tight flying from others. Jerry, Corey and Leigh were battling it out in Intermediate and we’re proud to say Jerry achieved first overall in the category. In Sportsman Chris Rudd delivered some very consistent flying and it earned him a 3rd place overall. Chris also revived the IAC Safety award recognizing his commitment to keeping pilots and their aircraft safe with his knowledge and skill working on the airplanes. Congratulations Chris. Also worth congratulating is Laurie Ramirez being recognized for her dedication and excellence in judging. We’re lucky to have Laurie here in the south and our chapter benifits from her knowledge.
Well done to everyone who dedicated the time to be in Salina whether flying or volunteering. Seeing the chapter 3 presence in KS was a great reminder of what an active and enthusiastic group we have here. Let’s keep it going!
